Register for the 2026 North American Field Meeting
Itasca Biological Station in northern Minnesota
15-19 June 2026

The registration fee includes the following, noting that food and lodging are separate to account for your own preferences.
Dipterists Society members receive a 20% discount on the registration fee.

• use of the venue and lab space
• access to all associated collecting areas
• collecting permits
• microscopes and other equipment
• transportation (we will have at least two large vans)

Meal plans

The cabins all have full kitchens, so meal plans are optional if you want to bring and prepare your own meals. Meals are not provided by the Station on demand, so you must make your decision when registering.

The Station has a full kitchen staff and provides meals. Therefore, we are offering several choices, all of which are for the duration of the meeting (including dinner on first day and breakfast on final day), as follows:

• Full meal plan, consisting of breakfasts, box lunches to take in the field, and dinners for $170
• Breakfasts only for $50
• Box lunches only for $50
• Dinners only for $75
• Any combination of breakfasts, box lunches, and dinners

Lodging

Lodging choices are very limited, so please be aware of the following details. Please note, although meals are optional, lodging is not.

• We have a total of 42 beds available at this time. All beds are twin-sized, except for one double bed (many rooms have bunk beds, but we have no plans to use the top bunks unless we have more than 42 registrations).
• There are 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom cabins.
• Only five bedrooms have a single bed (one of which is the double bed); all others have 2 or 3 beds.
• The base price is $200 for a bed ($50/night for 4 nights).
• For "Lodging preference", if you prefer single occupancy, these are first come, first served. They will be distributed as long as we have single occupancy available before we need to start doubling up (and we would only triple up if all double-ups are filled). If you indicate this preference, and you are assigned single occupancy, we will contact you regarding the additional $25 charge.
• The one double bed is reserved for the first couple to select this preference. If you indicate this preference, and you are assigned the double bed, we will contact you regarding the additional $100 charge that covers both participants (total of $300 for the couple).

We are a nonprofit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code, and payments may be tax deductible charitable contributions.
